Mayo Clinic: 23rd International Surgical Pathology Symposium

The 23rd International Surgical Pathology Symposium addresses common and uncommon diagnostic dilemmas encountered within surgical pathology practice. Prior to the symposium, participants will have the opportunity to review clinical histories, examine digital images, and formulate differential diagnoses. Case discussions highlight pathologic findings that characterize entities within the differential diagnoses.
During the four-day conference, 37 cases will be presented and discussed along with important surgical pathology practice issues and concerns. Three to four specialty areas will be featured each day , including:
- Identify and resolve common diagnostic dilemmas.
- Interpret appropriate ancillary tests for study cases.
- Enumerate treatment options of each case diagnosis.
- Integrate diagnostic, clinical, and pathologic challenges within pathologist/clinician communication.
